IIJ America was established in 1996, and since then have been building an IP Based Backbone Network and providing Internet connection services for Japanese business customers in the United States, as a subsidiary of IIJ (Internet Initiative Japan). This was only three years later when IIJ had launched the first commercial Internet services in Japan in 1993. IIJ listed on NASDAQ in 1999 and on First Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006.
Our Mission & Challenges:
We commit to provide “Best in class Internet Experiences” for our global business customers, ensuring the high quality service and support equivalent to IIJ. Internet has been widely accepted as a business platform nowadays, however, security incidents are increasing its number. On the other hand, demand is continuously growing for Internet quality and availability as a business lifeline. We engage with the latest technologies and innovations in the United States, and strive for service improvements and customer satisfaction.
Glocalizations in Cloud Era:
(Glocalization: The practice of conducting business according to both local and global considerations)
Cloud computing has grown its popularity in Japan as well, but it is not always easy to build and operate IT infrastructures in the same manner, where service levels, regulation and customs vary in the United States. We frequently hear stories of difficult interactions with local vendors and suppliers. We will take a role as a one-stop shop of Japanese companies, for comfortable business Internet and Cloud experience. We are confident that our technology with Japanese hospitality could achieve high reputations from American business field.
